Teacher Appreciation Week February 11-17

Thank you to all home school families. Your time and energy put into your children will last them a lifetime. You are appreciated and loved very much. Do not ever forget that; even on the toughest day of teaching.

Prince Albert Home School Group Guidelines

Here are some guidelines you need to be aware of when joining us for events, tours and activities. We wanted to make this clear for everyone so everyone can have a good time during our get-togethers.

When coming to an event, please stay with your child. Please do not drop them off. If you can not be with your child, you may make arrangements with another parent who can take responsibility for your child in your absence. For this, age does not matter. Please have someone responsible for your child. This is very important.

Our children need to be respectful of other children, parents, tour guides, and teachers who are with us. This includes language and actions. There are many people who WATCH us because we are home schooling our children. Many think our children are not behaving properly and that is why we home school. So please, teach your children respect.

Please help with events if at all possible. The more parents we have involved, the better organized we are, and the better run our support group is. This helps everyone out and no one gets drained. If you are unable to take the lead on an event, contact the organizer and offer your services. This would be greatly appreciated.

If you organize an event, please follow through. This helps in communicating properly with everyone. All our time is important and valuable. Be on top of things and let others know as soon as possible in order for everyone to plan their days. (I understand with some events short notice is the only way to go.)

When you do come to an event, please try to be on time. Some events, we can not wait for others to show up. When someone shows up late, it can be a distraction. It also does not look good on our group.

We want our home school group to be on top of things. If you see a problem between kids or parents, let’s talk about it. The sooner a matter is looked after, the sooner we are all happy again. Please talk with each other about how we can make our support group better. That is our goal. We want to have fun, support each other in our home school adventure, and teach our kids good morals and values that they can keep with them for the rest of their lives.

As always, we appreciate any input. If you have not done an event, please speak up, get someone to join you. It would be great to see 100% of our group doing 100% of the work for it. Any time or service you can offer would be great.
